Welcome on arrival at Guwahati airport & transfer to Shillong. Often called the ‘Scotland of the East’, Shillong has lots to discover from lakes to hills to the jaw dropping waterfalls. En route, stop at Barapani Lake for some amazing view & water activities (Water Activities On Actual to be paid by Gusts on the spot if required). On arrival at Shillong, check in to the hotel. Afternoon time free for personal activity. Overnight stay at Shillong. Dinner at Hotel.
After breakfast drive to Mawsynram, Enroute visits Elephanta Falls situated on the outskirts of the city. Visit Mawphlang Sacred Forest, Mawjymbuin Cave (Mawsynram cave), Naturally formed Shiva Linga. After sightseeing evening back to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong. Dinner at Hotel.
After Breakfast, move towards Mawlynnong & Dawki River. Visit to Mawlynnong village in the East Khasi Hills, famous for its cleanliness and natural attraction. Enjoy the scenic beauty with the lash of Greenery and enjoy a walk over the Living Root Bridge surrounding the place. Experience the crystal water boating at Dawki River (Boat Fees to be paid the by the Guest on the spot if required). Overnight stay at Cherrapunji. Dinner at Hotel.
After breakfast, visit to Cherrapunjee local sightseeing. Cherrapunjee is considered as one of the wettest place on Earth. Enjoy the trip with visit to Mawsmai Cave, Eco Park, Seven Sister Falls, the Thangkharang. Evening return back to Shillong . Overnight stay at Shillong. Dinner at Hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati . afternoon visit to Basistha Ashram, Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra, ‘Jagran’ store for authentic Assamese silks & handicrafts. Evening at leisure or experience the River Cruise on Brahmaputra (Pre booking only, subject to avaibility, Fees to be paid by the Guest if required). Overnight stay at Guwahati. Dinner at Hotel.
After breakfast day excursion Sualkuchi silk village . Sualkuchi is situated on the north side of Brahmaputra in the State of Assam. It is also known as Manchester of Assam due to the large number of cottage industry active in handloom. Assam produces a very unique kind of Silks, Known as Muga the golden silk, which is not produced anywhere else in the world. Apart from Muga silk, Assam produces two other kinds of silks: White Pat and Warm Eri. These kinds of silks are grown all over Assam and then sent back to Sualkuchi, which is the textile Centre of Assam. Muga, White Pat, warm eri and endi cloth from this region is known for its quality. Mekhela Chador and Gamosas produced here is sought after all through Assam as well as other parts of India.
After breakfast check out from hotel and drop at Guwahati Airport Via visit to Kamakhya Temple, if time permits. The trip ends with memories.
